Catching up with February

It is March now so here is a post to catch up with the general slacking around here and to share this excellent ABI photo.
VP Alvaro Linera at Carnival in Oruro making good on his quoted promise: "I will dance with with any carnival girl that appears in front of me."

He looks so dorky. And oddly enough, I find that HOT.

Oh Bina...
He's a heartbreaker, that one.

When he & Evo were first elected, some publication did a big profile of him. I don't remember the source, but I remember the story because it was so sad & heartbreaking.

They interviewed a girlfriend from his past. She was arrested with him as a co-conspirator (back in the days of Tupac Katari). The way she told it, there was a checkpoint & the both of them were nabbed & imprisoned...possibly even tortured in custody.

They split up after that (apparently the VP's choice). And the interview ended with the lady professing her undying love for him.

She's an activist in Mexico now, maybe a professor. I don't know if DUDERINO knows who I'm talking about.

Anyways, I thought I'd share that little story to spare you the heartbreak.

Yes, Bina should definitely be aware that there a few women way ahead of her on that hotness.

Thanks Paul. I was not aware of that particular romance and I thought I was up on all the Alvaro gossip. Somehow he doesn't mention that detail in his writings on the period.

My favorite was when he accompanied Miss Bolivia 2006 to the Miss Universe pageant to help boost her national pride, or something like that.

You do realize I'm joking, right? We women CAN look at cute guys without seriously wanting them, you know.

(And if any of them made an actual pass at me, I'd automatically wonder what was wrong with him.)

Really Bina, you only gave me an excuse to refute rumours that our happy VP is gay (not that there's anything wrong with that...).

And, on your apparent rejection of powerful men...
How very Groucho Marx of you!
